MIKA NOVOKOV GETS BORN

Mika Novokov was born in 1982 to his mother, Avdotya Mishkin and his father, Sirius Novokov. He was concieved via sexual assault which led to his mother resenting him before he was even born. To make things worse, Mika was born with a cleft lip, skin condition and no hair. In Avdotya's portpartum state, she rejected him immediatly. She believed that she had given birth to a devil due to his physical defects which led to her having a huge breakdown. She was to be institutionalised and with this, her parental rights were relinquished. Due to the time period and the situation, Avdotya was considered to be insane and was believed to be unfit to look after her baby. All of this decided in her stead. Not like she wanted a baby anyways.

Avdotya initially met Sirius when they were both rather young, being next door neighbours. She was older than him but once he entered his teen years, she started to fancy him. He was aware of her crush on him but never cared to pursue a romance with her as he considered her ugly and a little annoying. She continued to watch him from afar, often interacting sparsly, until he decided to force himself upon her. She was never allowed to abort due to her mother and Sirius' parents religious beliefs, forcing them to wait for their unwanted child to be born.

Anyhow, with it being decided Avdotya wasnt fit to be a mother, Sirius gained sole custody of Mika. He didnt want him either and so for 20 minutes, Mika was his younger brothers baby. He only took him back because he absolutely hated seeing other people mess with his 'belongings'. This child was a major hinderance for him..! Life was just starting to get good for him. He had planned to leave home for good and move to America to for work and a better life, but with this ugly baby, everything was ruined. Sirius completely resented him for it. He also hated him for his appearance. Having an ugly baby was unthinkably disgusting to him, it didnt even look like him. How could you love something thats ugly? He considered it embarassing too, thinking it would reflect on him somehow or that people would maybe pity him because of it.

During his time in the hospital, Mika was often left to be cared for by nurses rather than his own parents. Avdotya was taken away to a mental hospital and Sirius just never cared to stick around or visit. His younger brother Zera on the other hand, would spend as much time as he could there whilst also being a working man. Zera always assumed that his older brother was just going through some kind of parental postpartum thing and that was why he wasnt coming to visit, always wanting to see the good side of him. Neither set of grandparents ever came to see him either! When Mika was ready to be taken home and Sirius eventually came to collect him, Zera thought nothing much of it other than he was finally ready to father his baby.

Almost as soon as he was out of the hospital, he was taken half way across the world to go live in America with his Father. Zera came along sometime later but had his own home and was more often than not, too preoccupied with work to visit them. Sirius was more or less free to raise his son in isolation. He thought of his brother as nothing more than an annoyance and wanted to ditch him back in Russia. In a situation that benefitted him much more than his brother, he gave him a job working under him. This job never required Zera to move to America with Sirius but he looked up to his brother so much he wanted to go ahead and follow him anyways. Naturally this pissed him off as he wanted to be rid of everything and everyone he had known back 'home', but alas. He did make it known he didnt want to be bothered by him much to Zera's dismay.

NEGLECTED BABY

After coming to America, Sirius continued to ignore Mika. He'd go to work, stay out all night doing cocaine, bring home random women and sometimes even disapear for days at a time. He had no problem starving his son. He'd even consider letting him die of thirst or hunger from time to time, but ultimately wussing out at the last moment. It was routine for them at that point. He would hope that if he ignored him enough he would silently disapear and he would be free to live his life how he wanted to originally.

Sirius began displaying signs of psychosis which furthered his aggression toward Mika. He had taken to barricading his sons bedroom door in attempts to drown out the sounds of him crying, and even dumping undeeded items or even garbage in his bedroom. The crying endlessly pissed him off. Even when he did feed him, Mika would still cry and scream. He was in pain and with being a baby, he couldnt tell anyone that he was hurting. The skin condition would cause irritation and inflammation and he didnt have the mobility to even itch himself yet. Paired with the filth he was forced to rot in, his discomfort was torturous. Even with the knowledge that his son was suffering with a skin disorder, he'd continue to act as if the 5 minutes of attention he was giving him was enough to stop him from crying.

The crying persisted {obviously} and it was driving him mad. He was hearing it at work or away from home like he was being haunted. It got so bad he'd start coming home early or even in the middle of work to block Mika's bedroom door. When that stopped working, he'd take him deep into the house and hide him away somewhere he was bound not to hear him. Even then he'd hear the crying everywhere he went, he thought he was going mad. Sirius started doing more coke around this time to take the edge off but that probably contributed to the psychosis as well as existing mental problems.
